Depending on how you use the site and Factory Cost Check, we may collect:

• Contact and business information such as name, email, and company.
• Product and manufacturing information such as product descriptions, current unit cost, order quantity, annual volume, supplier country or region, Incoterm, target market, and cost concerns.
• Reference links you choose to provide, including links to supplier quotes, invoices, BOMs, drawings, specifications, product pages, or other project evidence.
• Transaction and support information such as payment status, payer details made available by the payment provider, invoice information, and support communications.
• Technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as IP address, browser or device information, request metadata, security events, and performance logs processed by our infrastructure providers.
• A temporary browser draft stored in local storage while you complete the intake.

Please do not submit card numbers, bank credentials, government identification numbers, health information, or information unnecessary for the Factory Cost Check. Do not provide confidential or third-party materials unless you are authorized to share them.

We use information to receive and review Factory Cost Check intakes; evaluate the current manufacturing cost; conduct AI-assisted research, organization, summarization, and drafting; perform human review; identify and communicate with relevant manufacturers where supplier outreach is part of the service; normalize comparable quotations; prepare the final benchmark; communicate with you; verify payment; issue invoices or receipts; provide support; maintain records; secure the site; and comply with applicable legal or accounting obligations.

Where the Factory Cost Check includes supplier outreach, approved product and commercial requirements may be shared with relevant manufacturers to request comparable quotations. We aim to share only information reasonably necessary for the benchmark.

We may also share information with Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers, payment providers such as Payoneer or PayPal, AI or professional software providers used to support analysis and drafting, professional advisers where reasonably necessary, and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell personal information and do not use submitted project information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The Factory Cost Check may use third-party AI tools to support research, organization, summarization, analysis, and drafting. Human review remains part of the service. We seek to limit information sent to providers to what is reasonably necessary for the task and use providers subject to their applicable data-processing terms and controls.

The service is international. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including locations where infrastructure, payment, AI, professional software, and relevant manufacturers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different privacy laws. We use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service and information involved.

We retain intake, project, and benchmark records only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, follow-up, dispute handling, security, and legitimate business records. Project records are generally retained for up to three years after completion or last substantive activity unless a longer period is required by law, an active dispute, or another legitimate need. Transaction, invoice, and tax records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

Browser drafts are controlled by the user and may be removed by clearing site data or browser storage. Clearing browser storage does not remove a submitted server-side intake record.

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS transport, access controls, managed infrastructure, limited-purpose storage, and separation of project records from payment-card processing. No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, information about disclosures, withdrawal of consent, or objection to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

The Factory Cost Check is intended for business users and adults legally able to enter contracts. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
